Takedown Policy

DireNote Media provides artists and rightsholders the ability to request removal of distributed content from digital platforms. By using our services, you agree to the terms and limitations outlined in this Takedown Policy.

Eligibility & Time Limitation

Takedown requests are accepted only after 90 days (3 months) from the original release date of the content. Requests submitted before this period may be rejected at DireNote Media’s discretion.

This limitation exists due to platform settlement cycles, reporting finalization, and third-party store dependencies.

Standard Takedown Process

Once a valid takedown request is approved, DireNote Media will initiate removal across all partnered platforms.

  • Removal from 150+ global music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc.)
  • Deletion of YouTube Art Tracks
  • Termination of YouTube Content ID and social monetization
  • Disabling future revenue generation for the affected content

Estimated Timeline

Platform response times vary and are not controlled by DireNote Media.

  • DireNote Media reserves upto 30 working days to proccess complete takedown
  • Some plattforms may take up to 90 business days
  • Residual appearances may persist temporarily due to caching or platform delays

No Refund Policy

All takedown actions are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to: Distribution fees, Subscription charges, Marketing or promotional costs, and Content ID setup or administration fees.

Copyright Infringement & Violations

If content is removed due to copyright infringement, false ownership claims, unauthorized samples, impersonation, or legal disputes:

  • No refunds will be issued under any circumstances
  • All pending earnings related to the content may be frozen or forfeited
  • DireNote Media reserves the right to suspend or terminate the user account
  • Repeat violations may result in a permanent ban from the platform

Fraudulent or Bad-Faith Requests

Any attempt to abuse the takedown system, including false infringement claims, coordinated removals to manipulate platforms, or malicious reporting, is strictly prohibited.

DireNote Media may reject such requests and take legal or administrative action where necessary.

Third-Party Platform Authority

Final takedown execution is subject to the policies and processing timelines of third-party platforms. DireNote Media is not liable for delays, residual visibility, or platform-specific enforcement decisions.

DireNote Media reserves the right to modify this Takedown Policy at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
